Finally back in stock! The Dundalk is my classic Plaintoe Boot made on the 42 last in Reverso 750 (Brown). This is the third edition of this boot, and each of the previous two sold through very quickly...been waiting for this delivery for quite awhile.
'Reverso', sometimes called 'Maremma', is the key tannage of the Lo Stivale tannery near Pisa (http://www.pellealvegetale.it/en/associated_tanneries/lo_stivale-38.htm), and is a 100% Veg Tanned Calfskin with tremendous wearing properties. Starting out a bit hard, but quickly shaping in to your gait, this leather will rarely show wear marks, and is virtually waterproof on it's own.
The Dundalk is my standard Rapid construction, fully calfskin lined, with the midsole sanded for an antique look and done with the popular Sestriere outsole.
42 last fits true to size.

This is my second pair of Rider Boots and I couldn't be happier with them. My first pair were whiskey cordovan and despite loving them, they were a little too dressy for some situations. These fill that gap. Dressed down but build quality is second to none. Highly recommended.

First thing you will notice is the last. It is a very attractive last. The structure is great, giving it a sleek look from both top and bottom while still allowing it to be substantial from a boot perspective. This also means sizing TTS as they suggest.
The leather is amazing. It has a slight waxing to it which is more than welcome. It probably contributes to the initial rigidity but over the course of the first couple wears started to break in very nicely. The ankle rolls look great.
The lining is soft which makes the initial break in easier to take. Sestriere soles are great.
I was very excited they had my size in stock and would buy it all over again many times. This was my third RBC boot and I will continue to order them.
